I'm optimistic about the Rey movie, even though the books have programmed my brain to expect the New Jedi Order to mean Luke training new Jedi. I wonder if we'll get the Vong??
Solid top 10 books list. I personally would've put Claudia Gray's Lost Stars somewhere in the top 5, but I can settle for her having 2 of the top 10 spots.
One of my projects for next year is to read/review the NJO series. I think I have all the books.
I do think we'll see the Vong or something similar eventually. You can only have authoritarian dictatorships and the Sith as bad guys so many teams. It's been a while since I've read the new Thrawn books that are canon, but I'm pretty sure there's a Vong-like race of aliens as the bad guys.
I actually have thought lately about giving it a rewatch, since clearly it's living rent free in my head. I read the novelization this fall which made a few improvements. Maybe there's a Snyder cut of Rise of Skywalker that fixes some mistakes.
