Jeff you're spot on about the Acolyte!, I won't even add to your detailed analysis of it being "cancelled", apart from what about Osha's droid Pip, can his memory be restored after Mae reset him back to factory settings? I know kids who will be massively disappointed by unanswered questions in the show and I can't really explain it to them.
Andor S2 being divided into four 3 episode arcs has been confirmed by the showrunner. As I recall, the original plan was to do five 12 episode seasons but they realized it would take too much time and Diego Luna would get too old to play the character. So they decided to compress the next four seasons into one.
Good to know, I thought I read the structure was confirmed but couldn't find it. So just went with my guess. 5 seasons of Andor would be pretty amazing, but you're right about the time. They'd run into the Stranger Things problem. And at least for that show, they don't have timeline constraints.
Thanks! Yeah, I think the Stranger Things issue would be one thing. But I also believe they'd run into budget problems. Like, I can imagine Disney balking at the $1.25+ billion price tag of five seasons (as shows tend to get more expensive in later years) and everybody deciding in advance that 2 seasons could work well enough.
I just hope those 3-episode mini-arcs aren't super rushed.
I just want to say that Syrill Karn is one of the greatest characters ever, and I would watch him eating breakfast cereal for twelve episodes. That is all.
Little behind on my Death Star reading, but another great edition. The comment about Andor Season 2 being "so much better" is sending me. I didn't even consider that a possibility.

I really liked that it was easier for Mae to wipe Pip's memory than it is for me to just turn off my iPhone.
I hope its not as easy for Disney to wipe the memory of a very cool droid from the memories of Star Wars fans ;)
